Even the world famous film director Emir Kusturica could not resist the beauties of Mokra Gora. After the shooting of his film “Life is a miracle” in the site of Mokra Gora, he finally decided to stay and live in this village. He build up his own Drvengrad (Wooden Town) on the top of Mecavnik Hill.

Drven Grad presents unique ethno village consisting of wooden buildings, such as so called cottages, the typical buildings for living on the nearby mountains. Coming to Drvengrad we are traveling in the typical settlement of this area of XIX century.

The places worth visiting while visiting in Drvengrad: gallery shop, art gallery, one of the most modern sound and picture cinema in Europe, ethnography museum, national cuisine restaurant with daily seasonal menu of healthy homemade food, sweet shop in which you can taste tarts made according to almost forgotten recipes and homemade sweet pies.
