Exit Festival

Exit festival is a summer music festival in the Petrovaradin Fortress of Novi Sad. It is one of Europe's best music festivals. The festival was started in 2000 by three University students. Initially the festival had a pronounced political component, representing, in effect, another form of anti-Milošević protest. Since 2007, the festival has been a subject of several official and unofficial takeover bids.

UK Festival Awards awarded „Exit“ Music Festival Europe’s best music festival in 2007. Public from all over the world voted for about a month, and EXIT won this award.

Acts for Exit 2010 include The Chemical Brothers, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Brodinski, Crystal Castles, The Horrors, SebastiAn (French electro artist), DJ Mehdi, A-Trak, Chromeo, Midnight Juggernauts, Klaxons, Zombie Disco Squad, Busy P, Erol Alkan, Crookers, Boys Noize, Royksopp, LCD Soundsystem, Yeasayer, Mika, We Have Band, Miike Snow, Ricardo Villalobos, Moderat, Josh Wink, Placebo (band), David Guetta, Missy Elliott and Pendulum.

Guca Festival

The Guca(Guča) trumpet festival, also known as the Dragacevo Assembly is the largest trumpet event on the planet. It is an annual brass band festival held in the town of Guca, near the city of Cacak(Čačak). The music is very diverse: from indigenous melodies, via kolo {a fast-rhythm chain dance}, marches and characteristic southern Serbia cocek(čoček) dances, all the way to tunes that have emerged more recently, but always taking care to honor old harmonies.

600,000 visitors make their way to the town of 2,000 people every year, both from Serbia and abroad. About 20% of visitors came from abroad, mostly from Slovenia, Spain, Italy, France, Bulgaria, Croatia, New Zealand and Australia.

The next festival will take place 13 – 22 August 2010.
