Pomoravlje
Pomoravlje is an area in the central Serbia where one can find beautiful waterfalls like Veliki Buk and Prskalo, caves, canyons, aqua park in Jagodina, historical buildings like the fortress of Smederevo – the last capital of medieval Serbian state.
Because of the Turkish invasion in the XIV century, the economical and cultural center of Serbia has been moved more to the north, in the area of today's Pomoravlje, where architects have created new architectural style in which they used serbo-bysantian school as a base. So is created the Morava school of architecture, with its most significant representatives: the monasteries of Ravanica, Manasija and Kalenic.
