Gornjak Monastery

Situated under the vertical boulders, in the Valley of Mlava River, Gornjak Monastery was erected between 1378 and 1381. It is the endowment of the duke Lazar. Due to the frequent demolishing in wars, today’s appearance of the church originates mostly from the XIX century. In the stones, on the right, there are remains of a monastery of Annunciation. It is from the middle ages and is the endowment of despot Stefan Lazarevic. It is 1-2 km from Gornjak to Petrovac.
