St. Vladimir Cathedral

St. Vladimir Cathedral was built in commemoration of Prince Vladimir who baptized Kievan Rus in 998 . Cathedral was erected in traditional ancient Byzantine style which was the style of ancient Russian churches in the time of Vladimir the Saint and Yaroslav the Wise. Cathedral interior was designed and painted by such famous artists as Viktor Vasnetsov and Mikhail Vrubel. Mosaic crafting was performed by Venice art masters.
